Absolutely enjoyable queer performance art!!

5/5

I saw this show back in 2018, saw this and thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. If you enjoy the type of queer art that pushes boundaries, challenges societal norms and is lavish in costuming and staging you will love it!! Taylor Mac is an award winning treasure of the LGBTQAI+ community. I highly recommend seeing one of his shows at least once in your life.

Thought Provoking

I saw this piece and genuinely fell in love with the extremity and absurdity of it all. I was challenged in my own binary ways of thinking , while being amused by Taylor Mac's comedy and jabs at the foundation of Christmas and what it has evolved to. Taylor Mac is PERFORMANCE ART, meaning you do not have to agree or disagree in order for it to make an impact on you, which is exactly Taylor Mac's goal. Go see this show if you want to have an enjoyable and unconventional night at the theater, while taking away more than just a smile on your face after the curtain falls.

it's best to know what you're getting into.

i happen to think that taylor mac is a genius...however his "performance art" is not for everyone. to have this as part of a series and present it to people who are not prepared is an injustice to him and to the audience.....i look forward to his next show in s.f....i think he is great.

Anti-Christian!

I do not consider myself a Christian or even religious (although raised in a Christian household), but this put me out of my comfort zone. I left after trying for a half hour to find its sense of humor. I think Mormons were probably amused by or at least less offended by the Book of Mormon. I didn’t find much amusement in Taylor’s Holiday Sauce. It seemed mean-spirited.

Terrible evening of theater

I am a Curran subscriber and was looking forward to an evening of theater. I I like a variety of theatrical productions but was completely disappointed ted by this program. It was poorly organized and lacked any redeeming content. Additythe company photographer ran back and forth in front of my seat all even. Waste of $110 per ticket.
