AN ORIGINAL KING OF COMEDY

As one of the most popular and highly recognized standup comedians on the road today, DL Hughley has also made quite an impression in the television and radio media. In 1999, D.L., along with comedians Bernie Mac, Steve Harvey and Cedric the Entertainer, embarked on the Kings of Comedy national tour, which sold out most of the major concert arenas in over 50 cities across the country.

The tour went on to gross a staggering $37 million dollars nationwide. Spike Lee, eager to expose the tour to a larger audience, made a docu-film of the tour, and it was released nationwide to rave reviews.

Hughley's more recent endeavours include hosting his own network current affairs show; "CNN's D. L. Hughley Breaks the News". In addition he has served as a correspondent for The Jay Leno Show on NBC, and is well-known local radio personality and interviewer in New York City. In early 2013, DL Hughley landed in ninth place in Dancing with the Stars!
